Who we are
Contessa Intelligence Tech Limited (知繹智聯科技有限公司, “we” or “us”) is responsible for the personal information processed through the CodeFlux website and CodeFlux accounts. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account: your email address, a salted hash of your password (we never store the password itself) and your sign-in method. If you sign in with GitHub or Google, we also receive your provider ID, name and email from that provider.
- Plan and billing: your plan, orders, amounts and payment status. Payment details are handled by our payment partner; we do not receive your full card number.
- Devices: the name, operating system and last-active time of devices where you sign in to the App.
- Service and security data: IP address, app or browser version and logs needed to run the Service and prevent abuse.
- Communications: messages you send to our support or sales teams.
What stays on your computer
The App runs locally. Your source code, files, prompts, conversations, session history, code indexes and model API keys stay on your device. We do not upload or receive them.
When you use a cloud model, the App sends the relevant context directly from your computer to the provider you configured, under that provider’s terms. Any optional feature that syncs data to our servers (for example cloud sync, when it is released) is off unless you turn it on, and is designed to be end-to-end encrypted.
How we use information
- to create and secure your account, verify your email and sign you in;
- to manage your plan, process orders, and send receipts and expiry reminders;
- to provide support and respond to your requests;
- to keep the Service reliable and to detect fraud and abuse;
- to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Legal basis and consent
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you (your account and plan), your consent (for example optional features and marketing emails), our legitimate interests in security and in improving the Service, and compliance with legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that act on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, email delivery, payment partners and sign-in providers (GitHub, Google); with authorities when the law requires it; and with a successor if our business is transferred. We require providers to protect your information and to use it only for the services they perform for us.
International transfers
CodeFlux is offered globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Retention
We keep account information while your account is active. After you delete your account we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons (such as order records), which we keep for the legally required period. Security logs are kept for up to 12 months.
Security
We protect information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), salted password hashing, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong and unique password.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data-protection authority. To exercise these rights, email [email protected] from your account email. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Cookies and local storage
We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser’s local storage to remember your language and sign-in state. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. For material changes we will notify you by email or on our website before they take effect.
